Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2005 996 c4s Just noticed a small oil leak between the two engine case halves near sump plate. Is there any think i can do to seal it up or is it engine taken apart to do.Thanks

POST 2Original post

Is it towards the bell housing? It could be from the RMS, they are a known area of leaks

POST 4Original post

Hi, I just had an oil leak from near the bellhousing on my 911 c4 2002. they told me that I need to replace the rear main seal.

POST 5Original post

Clean the area up well. It might look like that's where the leak is, but it could be running down from somewhere higher. You need to positively ID where the leak starts.
