Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I need to run a couple of feeds for my Valentine and SatNav. As the pesky cigarette lighter is always 'live' I've decided it is time to stir myself into doing the job properly. The Valentine is going up by the mirror and I'm guessing it is pretty straightforward to take a supply off the lighting circuits up there, although the connectors are going to be a pain. For the Satnav the cable comes with a built in transformer so I'm looking to power another cigarette lighter socket on the right hand side somewhere underneath the dash. I've never played with the wiring on these before, is there anything I should know/avoid etc ? Thanks in advance
