I drew vacuum down to 27 psi and then closed the valve and let it sit for 15 seconds before starting the fill procedure.

HF is just convenient since its close to my office. Its not something i expect to use frequently so HF should suffice. I assume i would fill through the expansion tank since there isnt really a radiator cap? How much pressure should I use?

For shop air, I just left it at my normal pressure of 100 psi. The shop air is just creating vacuum so it's not super critical as long as you have sufficient air flow volume. I drew vacuum down to 27 psi and then closed the valve and let it sit for 15 seconds before starting the fill procedure. Do a search for Ahsai's "Coolant drain" thread. I remember he gives a very nice and thorough description of coolant drain and refill.

These vacuum coolant fill devices sure are handy, especially for these cars! A word of warning. If your radiators are old, the vacuum system is known to cause them to start leaking! I had this happen last year. What I now do is to run the vacuum down to about 10". Then I let the coolant run into the car until the vacuum is back to 0". Let it sit for a few minutes. Pull another 10" of vacuum or until it starts to spit coolant out the exhaust. Run more coolant in until the vacuum is back to 0". Repeat this a few times. This places less stress on the old radiators. It's also helpful to have your bucket of coolant above the height of the engine. That way the coolant is flowing downhill.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
