Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I run no aero, I like the unassuming stealthy look.

I am using an M&M racing (Manthey) long tube racing exhaust with hi flow cats.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

"Bam de lam the damn thing went wild" Cool build, good for you. Everything is always for sale, they ping me every week about my house, I say 800K and she's yours, hello? HELLO?
The 3.4 was in perfect condition... Planting into a PCA J Class race car. The 3.8 S DFI motor, big brakes, Ohlins and lightweight program (We have ditched 200+LBS from stock setup) have completely transformed the car. Betty is now the Porsche that the factory could not build as it would have decimated the 911's of the period.
I got super lucky and secured one of the very last 0 mile
Porsche
crate motors.. Paid a premium price but know that I can have rebuilt to a 4.0.. 4.2.. and finally a 4.5L.. Zooom zoom Zoom!!
Very nice. Very similar to my R. I obtained a 2010 3.8
GTS
motor with 10k miles back in 2013 and did the conversion myself in 2014. Had it tuned by Vision Motorsports in Southern Cal.
This is at Laguna Seca in 2020 on a 105 dB day. I am using an M&M racing (Manthey) long tube racing exhaust with hi flow cats. I was back flagged once at 106.9 dB!!!!
Differences between us are MCS vs Ohlin, Stoptech Trophy (6p front, 4p rear) brakes vs AP Racing, Recaro seat + Schroth for driver (passenger is GT2 sport bucket), I still have PS and AC, using OEM 3 radiator setup (never had a problem, even in 100 degF heat). I run 255f 295r hoosiers on champion/oz/titan07 wheels (3 sets). Oh, and I am 6sp manual. I gather you are PDK.
I run no aero, I like the unassuming stealthy look. Interior rear of the B pillar is gone (stored). Corner balanced weight was 2900 lbs (7/8 tank of gas, sans driver).
The 987.2 platform is no joke. Set up correctly it is a wonderful car to drive. I have never been bested by a GT4 at the track, including the 4.0. They seem to be surprised when they can't get away, but hate to point you by. A well driven GT3 is still out of reach.
Like you, I love this car. I am the original owner and have retained every OEM part that came off of it, including the motor. You will have a blast.
To others with a 987.2. 3.8 DFI engines are plentiful now, and the conversion is very doable for the individual.
Very nice build!
It is great to see new 987 3.8 liter builds, this is the car that should have been available from the start. I have a 2009 base chassis, BGB build with 3.8
Carrera
S crate motor. Turbo front brakes,
GT3
control arms. Suspension is milder with 30 mm lowering springs and
Cayman
Black shocks. Original owner was street focused not HPDE.
Still drive to work some, but more frequent track days. I am thinking of coilovers, Verus Engineering dive planes and rear diffuser. I know coilovers have been addressed often, but options change over time, what are people leaning toward now, ant experience with Verus diffuser?
again, beautiful build!

Thanks for the "Heads up" about Joe Toth. I have ordered splitter, diffuser and dive planes. Still struggling with wing decision. I have a
Cayman
R wing. I am sure the Getty wings will give more downforce, but the car looks otherwise stock so I will just see how it goes for the
