+1 for Hoen lights, I've used their xenon match titanium recently for a friends' CBR motorcycle and the match is great and best of all it casts a brilliant white, not at all blue light like many of the ebay alternatives.

I have read the lighting upgrade in the Articles section and I was wondering where to get the H6W bulbs to change the city lights to a whiter shade?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys,
I am starting to collect the little things I need before I get my car in a month. I have read the lighting upgrade in the Articles section and I was wondering where to get the H6W bulbs to change the city lights to a whiter shade?
I have found
this listing on Ebay.
Has anyone dealt with this seller before? Is there a local (US) source for these bulbs I am missing?
Any help Appreciated.
Hello cheerIO,
Are you referring to my articles on exterior lighting makeover ? Are you considering upgrading your other lights as well ?
If you are interested in the Philips BlueVision H6W, it so happens that I have an extra unopened set. If you are interested, let me know.
Cheers !
Hi Kanemaki,

If this doesn't work out, try powerbulbs.com in the UK. I've purchased from these guys for the past 7 years and never had a problem. And they're a little cheaper than the eBay guy.

Nice LEDs, V1CKMAN.
From your personal experience, can you shed some light on the reliability issues that some members have reported ? (ie short life-span)
Also, I noted some errors in a recent post : for example, the HID bulbs are D2S, not D1S. From my extremely limited knowledge, these are not interchangeable - the D2S is a bulb only (with a round ballast), while the D1S has an ignitor built in (with a square ballast).
Please refer to my articles for the correct nomenclature of most of the Cayman exterior lights.
Cheers !
I only have them for a few weeks now, so I can't really comment on the life span. But it just looks much better than the stock bulbs. If I have to replace it every 6 months, I don't really mind.
I got a H6W alternative bulbs for sale in Classified. Its a Polarg M17 bulbs but have been modified to fit the city light socket. Its whiter than the stock bulbs.
I've been looking for H6W bulbs but not sure where to buy them online or locally in the US.
Anybody had any luck with finding them and also how they look?
V1ckman, any status update? Have you had any problems with them? Those LED's look really nice.
Did you do a writeup for it?
There is no problem at all with the LEDs. Just that it isn't as bright as the stock bulb. But if you get the right LEDs, I think it will be bright enough.
No. There is no write up. Basically its the same way as installing a normal bulb just that you have to modify the LED slightly.
