Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I used to own a Subaru STI. You either love that sound, or hate it. I loved it! So I went looking for an explanation for why the sound of the flat 6 is so very different from that of the flat 4. I found this interesting page discussing this: This Is Why Various Engine Types Sound So Different – Feature – Car and Driver

POST 2Original post

Just because an engine is similar in shape does not mean it will sound the same. Every V8 sounds different. 60*, 90*, stroke pattern, overhead cam, pushrod, exhaust design. In fact the M96 is way different than the Boxer. There is no reason to think it will sound anything like it without abnormal exhaust work. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk

POST 3Original post

In fact here is a Boxer inside of a Boxster. https://youtu.be/SwLKsEqj8ZQ Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
