Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

One of the things I liked about my 996 was the way the screen jets spread the water across the screen not just 2 streams (quite sad I know but hey ho). Presumably it is the jet itself doing this and that a pair from a breaker wouldn't be too hard to graft onto something else? I assume they are heated?

POST 2Original post

Yes, they are heated. The 996 ones are now obsolete, and have been replaced with the 997 nozzle, which gives a fan pattern. They are about £16+VAT each from Porsche, so be careful what a breaker charges you.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard, OPC Swindon are quite good at selling me their cheapest parts! £1.23 is my record so far.

POST 4Original post

You should always check a price from Porsche first. Often cheaper always NEW Think I will treat myself to a pair of those RichardH as they should be better

POST 5Original post

If you want to fit them to your 996 you will need to adapt the wiring, as the 997 ones have different connectors. Porsche do a conversion kit, but it is very expensive (£30 a side, IIRC). They wouldn't be required by DavidL, as the way I read his post he is fitting them to something else. When I fitted them to my Turbo, I just cut the wires and spliced them on to the new nozzles.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
