Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
The noise has improved 10 fold, the exhaust has a nice clean rasp to it and burbles on tick over, being the cab, top down lets you get the full induction and turbo noise, totally addictive
Leading evidence: 'Clean rasp' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean rasp' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anyone here done much to the TT mods wise?
I was thinking of a stage 1 Revo remap and maybe a fabspeed gen 3 exhaust for starters?
I don't really like aftermarket induction kits etc they always give me horrors about grit sailing in with all that extra air.
Any opinions or experiences good or bad please.
BTW - Those fabspeeds are the ones which definitely do not drone at any speed.
I know I'm shallow but I would like to get the bhp to a figure starting with 5 and for it still to be a usable daily driver.
Revo offer a free 5 hour trial so you can't really go wrong taking them up on the offer. Just be prepared to dig deep when it runs out as you will want the full remap!
You can get any BHP figure you want by going to the right dyno but they are pretty pointless numbers.....you will have enough power for a daily driver with an ECU upgrade and exhaust.
I'm trying to resist getting the trial but I can feel the pull...
Lol re the dynos some of the graphs you see are hilarious :?
As long as I am reasonably satisfied that it is there or thereabouts adding the customary pinch of salt to the suppliers claims I will be happy.
Sure there remains debate over dyno's and respective accuracies - but surely a pre and post dyno (after remap) is worth its salt..... ? At least you can numerically see where the improvement - its as about as objective as you'll get ??
How many people have upgraded exhausts or induction and 'thought' the car was faster - only to find out later that the car produced less BHP later
Whoooaaaaa there chaps!
Just a little mild stuff was what I had in mind
I can see the point of a before and after dyno but as Revo are confident enough to let you test drive their remap I'm guessing the difference is quite marked.
I'm having second thoughts about the exhaust - I had my first chance to do a long trip ( 500 miles or so ) in the dry last week and I'm thinking with the tyre noise on concrete roads the cabin is noisy enough already.
If only there was a switchable option for the TT - anyone know why porsche don't do one themselves?
You would think so wouldn't you. However, I recently had the 5 hour trial and wasn't impressed. Only very slightly quicker IMO, even though boost did increase from 0.6 to 0.9 bar. Have you tried it yet?
The power must be making me hallucinate as I could swear I have posted a reply before.
Anyhoo - the noise in the cabin on long trips has made me think again about how I want to approach this.
The car is obviouly not lacking in power but Porsche have smoothed out a lot the characteristics I expect from a turbo car.
Brilliant engineering no doubt but I love the kick in the back of the seat a TT car should deliver and dare I say it I even like to hear a modest pfffft as the wastegate dumps boost.
I am still going to try the remap but what I am really looking for is real kick-in-the pants acceleration low down which is evidenced by sense and feel rather than the dashboard.
DMS X50
Afternoon
Just registered so first post, had my X50 cab (21k miles)mapped and exhausted at DMS in Totton, Hants. A seriously noticeable difference over the 450 std X50. Approx 550bhp now but thats just numbers. Peak boost is up from 1.0 to 1.2, throttle response and roll on power is incredible. The noise has improved 10 fold, the exhaust has a nice clean rasp to it and burbles on tick over, being the cab, top down lets you get the full induction and turbo noise, totally addictive
Overtaking is a comedy affair but car still remains docile and driveable.
Quality install by decent customer focused people and 3 year warranty. Cost a little over £4k and worth every penny.
regards
Mark
