I've swapped around to make sure I didn't get a couple dead bulbs and they work in the courtesy lights.

I tested the amber 194 led that are for my side markers and they worked in the map lights weirdly enough as a test.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Everyone, working on upgrading my 996 to LEDs all around and the map light 194 bulbs won't turn on. The courtesy LED 194 bulbs work fine and the dome LED 4410 works just fine. I've swapped around to make sure I didn't get a couple dead bulbs and they work in the courtesy lights. Any thoughts on why the map lights for some reason don't turn on? Thank you!

POST 2Original post

They are polar so you may have them in wrong. Try turning 180 degrees

Or hold the bulb still while rotating the car 180 degrees.

Thanks man, I'll give it a shot. I had 4 and my Targa has 4 courtesy lights so I used them all and they're working great. I'll have to get more and try again, I just put the incandescent back in for now. I tested the amber 194 led that are for my side markers and they worked in the map lights weirdly enough as a test. Thanks again!
