Can you please do a dyno before and after? About a year ago IA ran a very comprehensive
exhaust
test on the 996 TT including Tubi,
Fabspeed
and others and Tubi was one of the ones that LOST horsepower and as I recall was also one of the more expensive ones. It would be nice to know what the real numbers are on their
Cayman S
exhaust
, so if you can dyno before and after we'd all appreciate it!
well the tubi is fitted. wow what a sound ,this is what this car needs. could not stop laughing all the way home. did not dyno the car, so do not know about hp gain.but for the sound and looks it is fantastic. was fitted by manu at scuderiasystems egham. great bloke and professional service,well recomended to you uk guys./fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/teeth_smile.gif

<div style="text-align: justify;">TUBI is on my Cayman..... Turns out that Tubi USA is in my backyard here in Michigan... They were 12 minutes drive,...Gorgeous pipes,...sweet....... What a difference in sound........WOW>... when u wind her up,,,,,,,,kinda too loud.. If u drive normal-- very deep mellow tone. I have my own lift in my shop,, so very easy to install it. Took about 2hrs total..removing the old, huge, heavy, nasty looking stock unit. The only thing that I don't like is the center stock outlet is still used on the new system. I would like something alot nicer to look at. I'll take some pics on the lift tonight for everyone. The Tubis are so much smaller than the stock unit. So if anyone is near Grand Rapids, Michigan and would like the use of a shop lift and a hand,.....NO Problemo.. just buzz me,..</div>

The cost is £1190 + VAT. UK shipping or installation at our facility is free. We are perfectly happy shipping abroad (except the USA). Shipping within Europe is £65 delivered by TNT. Delivery is around 2 weeks.
We have now completed a number of installs in the UK now and ALL customer feedback has been excellent.
The Tubi has somehow managed to lift the
Cayman S
exhaust
note into something reminiscent of the Tubi

on the Ferrari 360. It's absolutely sensational - the sound may best be described as follows:
At idle/cold start: It's deeper and raspier (a bit like the 996 GT3) Up to 3500rpm: Quite deep and throaty
From3500rpm: A high pitched full howl.
Tubi developed the
exhaust
with the help of Champion Motorsport (the competition arm of Champion Porsche in Fl, USA, the worlds largest Porsche dealer). Pre-liminary dyno tests on US spec cars gave around 6-11hp depending on atmospheric conditions.
So far owners have reported that the system doesn't necessarily give more push-in-the-back-punch but does feel as if it is allowing the engine to rev more freely at high rpm. Beyond this, though, owners have been utterly thrilled with the sound of the car. It's a real revelation and even sounds better than the Tubi for the 997 and the 996TT. What is also interesting is that the system is very much throttle dependent as opposed to rev dependent so it's fairly quiet around town and when commuting and also at idle.
Despite being such a new product we are already offering a full satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like it, we'll take it back and give you a full refund!
This is interesting. I was over in London a few months ago visiting the principal Porsche dealership in Park Lane (it has since moved approx 1 km to the east) and heard a Carrera997 with sports exhaust start up. Fantastic! I decided that I would specify a sports exhaust for the Cayman and was advised that this was not an available option. Perhaps it is different in the States or do you guys have to fit after-marketsystems?
£1250. no idea about warranty, but can only excluded the tubi? Justin was spot on about the sound.looks much better from the rear too. still do not know how to put pictures up , sorry.
The TubiUSA site says that Champion Motorsports will be their distributor, but when I spoke to them about 'springs and other things' I got the impression thatthe
exhaust
was not going to be available anytime soon.
Well guys, ordered it yesterday from Jesse at Champion motorsports. Got it this morning and just picked up the car.
I am very impressed by the quality and the sound. Oh, I used the Tequipement tips which look even better in person!
The sound is deeper then I expected which I really like. I was afraid it might sound a little high like the E46 M3's. It even hasa nice backfire! I will post pics and sounds soon.
Again, the sound is awesome, deep and aggressive!!!!
