Costco are fantastic for michelin tyres (thats all they sell) Guys are very knowledgable and been on all the courses etc.I heard from the manager there that it is recommended the following for the 18" wheels on the 996.

Mine's an 00 C4 Cab, with yours being the facelift maybe they changed the tyres.

Have just had a set from their Manchester store - no complaints at all.

If anyone is looking for Michelin's at a good price, Costco have got the best prices by far, in the North West at least. Have just had a set from their Manchester store - no complaints at all.

£133.23 each for the front 225 x 40 x 18 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 N1
£194.92 each for the rears 265 x 35 x 18
All fitted and balanced properly.
Another tip top tip:
Buy your tyres from Costco when they have 25% off a set of 4. Even if you do not need the tyres at the exact moment in time they will take payment but then supply the tyres when you actually need them - awesome.
For the record I bought a set of 4 Pilot Sport N1s, 225/40/18 & 285/30/18 for £569 all in.

With 225s' on the front should be 265s' on the rear, and 235s' on the front should be 285s' on the rear. Dont know how correct this is though.
I've just got back from Elite in Rainham (essex) with 2 new Pzero's 265/35 for £328 fitted and balanced including VAT.
I was pretty pleased with that, although it's now taken the weeks spending on the car past £1600. But it drives like a dream and I feel it's money well spent. (My wife thinks it just money spent!)
I got a set of Michelins the other week - then straight in for Geo at an OPC - has made the world of difference. (And hoping the inside edges of the fronts aren't going to wear quite so badly this time).
Just a shame its rained ever since!
