Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am seriously considering getting a few bits done on the car. DMS in Southampton are quoting me £1700 for an ECU remap and £1800 for a 200 cell cat exhaust based on the Miltech pipe. The power increases they are suggesting are impressive - An extra 105bhp and an extra 117lbs or torque. This will give the car 525bhp, a top speed in excess of 200mph and a 0-60 time of 3.7secs. However I think it is the mid range punch that would be incredible. I also get back a little exhaust noise that I miss from my old PSE equipped targa. 2 questions. 1. Has anyone ever used DMS before? and 2. Am I mad for considering this?

POST 4Original post

Mad! we know you are. Sounds like some good mods.

POST 5Original post

Dave, are you man enough? thats the only question you need to ask yourself   as for the rest it sounds great and you should do it.

POST 6Original post

DMS seem ok, would make an interesting conversion

POST 9Original post

Sounds very interesting, but are you going to do any brake upgrades at the same time? At minimum going down to the chandlers and getting an anchor and a length of chain would seam sensible.

POST 10Original post

And so the slippery slope begins! More power... whoa, we're coming up to that T-junction really fast... we need to brake harder! New brakes. Wait a sec, we're taking those corners so much faster and need more composure through the bend... new suspension me thinks... Whoa, we're cornering a lot faster than before... I need some new seats to hold me in place... Wow, getting more wheelspin... need stickier tyres and lighter wheels...

POST 11Original post

Will the internals take that kind of power hike, Dave? Sorry if it sounds like a silly question. ~ Maxie
