Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The other reason that might not be quite as obvious as an open door / console etc is if you have had your stereo head unit replaced with an aftermarket version?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does anyone else have this happen?
I've recently had an electrical problem which resulted in a new battery and generator being installed. I've noticed now that when I lock the car, the horn counds once on locking.
Is this supposed to happen or is it a fault?
Mine does the same - just thought it was normal???
Does that mean that there is something open?
I honestly thought it was to let you know that the alarm was set!!

Only reason I say this is that I have recently upgraded mine and now I am getting the single "pip" from the horn on locking the car. Apparently a contact needs to be taped off - on the side of the head unit - or the car "pips" as it thinks the stereo is missing.
Just a thought
Porsche Alarm
Mine also beeps the horn once on setting, i read in the manual this is because one of the contacts is open. When the car has been used in the wet the alarm sets correctly, then as it dries off the contact breaks and the alarm goes off, this can happen two or three times a night. Does it have to go to a main dealer to be rectified ? Could it cost me a fortune ????
Interesting. thought it could be because I put mine away wet, but it's made no difference wet or dry. I'll have a fiddel with the centre console, as the stereo is the original unit....
Well, that worked!
It was the centre console microswitch. A piece of paper wedged in gives a bit of extra thickness to press it down when the lid is closed. Problems solved. Thanks guys!
Now if I could only get this service at my OPC!!!!!
