Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Not quite sure why so long (the dealer never found out either), but they treated me well allowing me to change from a Cayman in week 1 to a Cayenne in week 2 to a Boxster S.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I'm posting this as reference should it assist others When my car was about a month / 1,400 miles old, it became more difficult to engage 1st gear. I took it to the dealer who advised it was because the clutch had worn out. There was no question of it being a fault under warranty and they supplied an identical car whilst the new parts came in. The new parts actually took 3 weeks. Not quite sure why so long (the dealer never found out either), but they treated me well allowing me to change from a Cayman in week 1 to a Cayenne in week 2 to a Boxster S. I also received good will compensation. I was advised the fault was due to an incorrect torque setting on the assembly document of that component causing the clutch to burn out. They've obviously addressed this so it doesn't affect others and I was content with the level of customer service and the way they dealt with it. They shifted 80 Caymans that month and mine was the only one affected. Sh*t happens! PS. It was good having a Cayman in different options for the week. It showed me that I chose well
