I tried replacing the bulb, even swapped the working one from the drivers side incase the auto parts store gave me the wrong one to no avail.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello All, I could really use some help and ideas. I have a 2000 996 911 cabriolet that has one issues. The rear marker light (the smallest bulb on the corner nearest the passenger door on the rear of the car) is not working. I tried replacing the bulb, even swapped the working one from the drivers side incase the auto parts store gave me the wrong one to no avail. I also pulled all of the fuses in the car on the drivers side. (not sure if there is another fuse panel in the car) and with all of that, I still cannot get the light to work. Any ideas or suggestions to help me?

The metal tab inside the plug socket may be broken Seems to be pretty common You may be able to take it apart and solder it back together

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, I will give that a try
