Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I prefer to use porsche parts especially for the type of stuff you mentioned.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 1999 Porsche 996 C4 Convertible that I want to "clean up" from years of negligence. What I really need are a few small pieces, such as the pieces that secure the fender liners, plastic nuts for the under panels and hold down fasteners for the battery cover. Is there somewhere that has these small bits? I cannot find some on parts diagrams or other lists.
Any help?
Amazon is your best friend here. I found that the plastic fasteners are pretty universal with a few exceptions. Try to search for fasteners that support German cars like BMW and Audi. Here are a few examples:

I prefer to use porsche parts especially for the type of stuff you mentioned. The best place for me to figure out the parts is the porsche parts catalog. Auto Atlanta has the full Porsche parts catalog posted. I've found that most everything is there in the parts catalog but (often) you have to weed around for it.
Here's a sample page of the front wheel liners:
http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=801-75
That particular page has everything there (for the liners.) All the little nuts, plugs and such are on the drawing and on the parts listn. Easy.
However, many pages often don't number all of the small parts but they can usually be found on the parts list right under the part they are associated with. For example on this page for the front brakes:
http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=602-00
If you look at item 7 (warning contact, aka brake wear sensor) that item has two different clips that hold it in place but they aren't on the drawing. However, if you look under item 7 on the parts list, you see two items (a clip and a holder) those are the proper parts to secure that warning contact. On the other hand, if you tried this on the rear brake page, you'll find the clip and holder aren't on the drawing or the parts list. You gotta find them on the front brake page....
