Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Whilst investigated a slight creak coming from the drivers side front, I was pressing down on the front wing.
I discovered this morning that my hand has created a slight dent on the front wing where I pushed down!....
I feel a bit of an idiot but the panels on my old 911's were never this thin!!

It's a slight dent but visible from certain angles when the sun shines on it.
Anyone people could recommend?
Thanks
Hasan,
I've recently used Cheshire Dent Repairs (
www.cheshiredentrepairs.co.uk
) to remove a ding from my nearside rear quarter - it looked as though a door from an MPV or 4x4 had hit my car as it was on the upper edge of the arch flare.
The technician wasn't too sure whether he'd be able to get to it, especially as it's cab, as the hood mech extends in to the top of the rear arch.
Anyhow, there's a grommit within the wheel arch which was sufficient size for him to get his tool in to (please, no smutty humour!) and he knocked it out from behind.
You really cannot tell where the ding was now - an excellent, job, I'm well chuffed.
The charge was £60 which was only applicable if he managed to get to the dent and remove it (if he'd turned up and was unable to access it, he wouldn't have charged anything).
Neil.
Genius, thank you!......as all it needs is a gentle push from underneath I think.
Don't know if I'm confident enough to take off the headlamp unit myself though!
Hasan,
Its simple. There is a key in your tool kit. Remove the carpet trim by the plastic turn buckles, insert the key into the unit (check your manual where it goes) a simple quarter turn or half turn can't quite remember which and the unit slides out. Unplug the unit and its good to go. Just reverse to replace.
Hasan,
I'd personally recommend you DON'T attempt to push out the dent yourself - it might look like an easy job but you could end up pushing too far, or pushing the wrong area.
I think for £50/60 it's well worth getting the professionals to come and do it - it'll take them about 10 minutes and your wing will be as good as new!
It is really worth taking the risk??
Neil.
Hi Neil,
Yes, 100% agree with you there, I've never done any DIY on my car (except for the diode cut on the PSE relay)
I'm about to call 'Dentman' (
www.dentman.co.uk
) so I'll leave it to a professional.
But atleast I can now tell him to remove the headlamp to reach the dent!.....
Thanks
