Just to add that it came in a box of bits when i bought my 996.2 as the previous owner had fitted an aftermarket unit.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have just discoved that my spare PCM and Sat Nav is not what i thought it was. Does it have any value or is it destined for the bin? Just to add that it came in a box of bits when i bought my 996.2 as the previous owner had fitted an aftermarket unit.

POST 2Original post

has period value and with that all important tape deck £100 but seem them go for more and less

POST 3Original post

What did you think it was then? But, no, not really - keep it, but in the box rather your dashboard. They are all but useless even for the most die hard of folk that favour originality at the expense of usefulness and practicality. Factory fitted satnavs age quicker than milk.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did not know what I had, but now i do, and that it is unlikely to be of any value except for possibly spare parts. I will put it on my shelf of 'rainy day' parts and when I have a boot full I will take it to the autojumble shop at whitewebbs museum in Enfield.

POST 5Original post

I doubt it would be of any value. Put it on e bay or something?
