This narrowed the gap between the inner and outer seal against the glass as I had a gap between glass and outer aeal where water would easily run into the door.

I recently changed the window regulator on the passenger side of my [phone removed] cab. - The cable became frayed and i'm guessing that water got in. I have noticed that the seal between the front and rear window has a gap. It looks like the rubber has deteriorated. Initial investigation into replacement parts are above £100 a piece. I think i'd like to replace all seals on windows which could become very expensive. Is there a more practical way of replacing the seals which off shelf parts and making my own? Interested in chatting with anyone who has tried

I'm a mechanical design engineer so have access to loads of suppliers who could help. So if this is a common problem let me know. If there is not a solution maybe we could create one. Let me know your story

Very doable........but would cost more than buying new seals. A cheap fix I did on the door window seal that runs along the top of the door skin was to slide sone Festo pipe down the inside of the inner seal. This narrowed the gap between the inner and outer seal against the glass as I had a gap between glass and outer aeal where water would easily run into the door. Hope this makes sense.
