I wonder has anyone tried this , and more's to the point does anybody know a good (Porsche) auto electrician, or could recommend an ICE dealer in Berkshire (Reading ideally) - I'm looking to change my PCM, and whilst I'd love to take it on myself, I probably won't get round to it for about a year!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, I wonder has anyone tried this , and more's to the point does anybody know a good (Porsche) auto electrician, or could recommend an ICE dealer in Berkshire (Reading ideally) - I'm looking to change my PCM, and whilst I'd love to take it on myself, I probably won't get round to it for about a year! Ideally I'd like to try for the iPad mini mod - looks ambitious so I probably need some help anyway. http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/996/301123-ipad-mini-dash-install-996-mkii.html Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks. J

I saw that on RennTech when he first did it. Nice idea, but by the time you factor in an iPad mini and a decent head unit, it would probably be cheaper to get a modern double-DIN sytem which can run Android or iPhone apps, and will have the radio built in.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
