I noticed my 98 996 3.4 c2 has started to drip a little oil. At first inspection is seems to be dripping below the AOS bellows and slowly making its way down to a low point beside the tensioner to drip off. After chasing this around a little I noticed some oil on the top of the left bank, which now makes me think something up there is leaking and it’s then running down the back of the engine. I’ve run a camera either side of the dipstick to give an idea of the issue. Any idea what might be leaking? Something Variocam related or AOS related? Will pop the air box and alternator off in a weeks time but curious to know if anyone has had similar or may know the issue.

I did this on axle stands, and it took me around 45 minutes from start to finish, including getting the car in the air and the wheel off and all back together... 911uk.com
