Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have loaned my 99 to my daughter when she fled the city due to the virus. About a week into this arrangement the battery went dead for some reason, or just died of old age. I bought a new one and when I put it in-as soon as the car was energised there was an intermittent clicking on the interior passenger side, maybe in the door or in the right side dashboard. Starting and stopping the engine did not stop it, neither did locking and unlocking the doors. I unhooked and reconnected the battery-the clicking continued. All the dash lights and systems seemed normal. After maybe 10 minutes, the clicking finally stopped. Can anyone tell me what was causing this-should I be concerned? Is it something that I should chase down? Many thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

Could have been the window regulator, door lock, or speaker other than that there isn't much else I think that could make a clicking noise
