Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2002 C4 Cab. Dash button has never worked since I bought the car BUT key in drivers door will operate it up and down. Do I have a bad dash switch??

POST 2Original post

Is your handbrake switch working properly? Edit. Nevermind. I see you have a 2002. I don't think it matters.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, handbrake and light working. No codes on OBD port other than a misfire on 3. I cleared the codes and then tried the button again and now it works???

POST 5Original post

My 2000 C2 just started having this issue i am curious to hear opinions on the cause

POST 6Original post

Dash switch works neither up nor down? What about if you operate the top half way using the door method, then stop. Now, get in, start it, and see if it will move with the switch in either direction. This could rule out one of the many micro switches in the system. Alternatively, you could pull off the dash "horseshoe" and try to jumper the switch to see if that works.
