I need new pads and disks. Is it worth considering the upgrade to 6 pot calipers on the front?

IIRC 330mm and 4 pot are OEM on the 996 TT so an upgrade to 6 pot and to 350mm is well worth while stick to OEM porcshe pads to avoid noisy pad issues, and the 997 TT uses 6 pots and 350mm brakes although Pagid pads are an option, for your driving needs they are unsuitable but worth adding Castrol SRF Brake fluid as that does raise the operating range of the brakes

I wouldn't bother unless you are doing a lot of trackdays. Stick to 4 pots, change the pads and swap the fluid to SRF and you should be fine. The 6pots cost mucho £££ and you will not see their benefit on the road.

Thanks Ade for this and the other post. I am going to change the fluid and keep the rest as standard. I was quoted £2.5k for an upgrade to 6 pot at the front with new discs and pads all round or £1.5k for standard pads and discs all round. Going to spend a few hundred on driver training
