Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quick question. Ive been getting a P0507 alarm code. Kinda annoying. I clear it and it comes back 20-30 miles later. Its a high idle alarm and says it could be a vacuum leak. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a common place where this leak occurs or am I on a wild goose chase till I find it? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Easiest way to find a vacuum leak if you cannot hear it, is a smoke test. Cheap smoke kits can be found on fleabay. Greg.

POST 3Original post

Oil fill tube cracks. There r also several rigid vac lines that crack. Just do a search for the diagrams

I do have a broken oil filler tube. I have a new one to replace it. I got it all sealed up temporarily. Evidently not good enough?

POST 5Original post

Had this code in our boxster....in our case it was debrie in vacuum line.

Since the oil fill pipe has a tendency to crack on the corrugated part, very difficult to seal it. It is probably the source of your problem.
