There was a broader recall by Porsche, issue with glass used for front and rear screens which weren’t properly prepared and required replacement as they didn’t bond in to the shell properly- the mirror falling off was a symptom.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Noticed the rear view mirror in my 992.1 Carrera T was vibrating a lot - went to adjust it and it was very loose. Turns out a whole new windscreen is needed. Bizarre.

POST 7Original post

Same here. Known issue and a full replacement screen was fitted under warranty. No problem since.
