Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Possibly looking at getting a 911 996 but i am 6' 5" tall , will i be able to drive it ? Cheers Paul

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Really ?? i am not a stick insect either to say the least.

POST 5Original post

I would say yes, but the Internet can't really give you all the answers. You should really get in some and test it for yourself. Perhaps a local meeting, either TIPEC or PCGB. They're all friendly.

POST 6Original post

Seriously not a problem. I'm 6'3'' and properly, amazingly massive. I fitted in my old 996TT no problem at all, you will too.

POST 7Original post

You will fit but you won't have loads of room but I managed for years at 6 foot 6

POST 8Original post

6'6", first porsche experience was a 996 targa. Plenty of room. Only issue maybe with foot hovering over the clutch there won't be much room between your knee and the steering wheel. Same as a 997 in that respect.

POST 9Original post

As above, should be fine but beware the aforementioned knee/steering wheel interface. You need to sit in one. If you are long in body I'd say youll fit.

POST 12Original post

Had a 996 turbo. 6' 4" and at the time 16st, long in leg and fitted just ok. Had comfort seats, sports seats may have been a squeeze. (Apologies for my last post - was a poor attempt at humour...)

POST 14Original post

I'm 6'4 and long in the leg and manage fine. Although I have the CD holder removed which gives me a little more legroom and stops my knee from hitting the steering wheel.

POST 15Original post

im 6ft5 ... comfortable... You wont get anyone behind you though.. like kids..
