Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Evening all, What's the general consensus on strut braces? I see Porscheshop sell Brey-Krause carbon and Design911 sell DesignTek. Think PolarExpress fitted Manthey (?). Has anyone got any opinions on these? Easy to DIY? Also, are rear braces as essential as front? Only the DesignTek seem to specify front or rear. Thanks, Stuart ps, again sorry for questions and no answers, still a Newbie...

POST 2Original post

I have the Brays Krause carbon brace and it is an easy bolt on modification. It sharpens up the steering as the motor turns in quicker. It helps the front wheels face the same way.

Thanks, new you would have the answer, think I'm going to end up using your mods as a desirable blueprint What's the situation with the rear brace, needed or not?

POST 4Original post

For my way of thinking, the rear wheels have to put down a LOT of power and if you look at the bracing around the rear dampers i wouldn't think a rear strut brace would make too much difference Photo below of the cutaway 996 at PCGB Cornbury House.
