i have already fitted my GT2 wheels and tires, so it looking good, and gripping good,

If you've just got it I'd mod it gradually - you'll appreciate each change a lot more.

hi all,
i have just sold my C4S (996) and have just bought a 996 turbo,and very nice it is too!
i have already fitted my GT2 wheels and tires, so it looking good, and gripping good,
so..... what do i do next?
i am thinking a millspeed zorst system, k+n replacment filter and a GOOD remap,
or am i better changing the turbos ect?
your thoughts please would be very welcome!

That was quick, I take it the C4S didn't hit all the relevant spots
An exhaust/cats (they are both together) and a remap should see you right for a bit.
Is the Turbo an X50? ie. has K24 rather than K16 turbos.
Millspeed? Is that Milltek or Fabspeed? Others to look at are Tubi or the big bucks Europipe and 9ff (which is switchable), you are looking upwards of £1500 for these.

its a 420 bhp one, so not the big turbo one!
the C4S was a super car, fast, great handling, good brakes, BUT not "omygodthisisfast" hence the change, i came out of a very modded e46 m3, i am going to get the gt2 seats recoverd in black and fitted to the turbo as i find them super grippy and really hold you in place!
i will also, without doubt spend a fortune getting the turbo the way i want it as i always do with my cars!

Congrats Robin! If you're planning to do 500+, the K24s are a better bet to deal with the higher boost levels. Downside is that the K24s have more lag, but if you're focussed on max OMG boost, the K16s will run out of puff at the top end.

With regards to the GT2 wheels - I've heard of problems with them touching the inside wheel arches on load and on lock - are you having the arches rolled ??
Are they the 04 GT2 wheels ? If so - where did you source them ?

the gt2 wheels i bought from cable guy on here, i got the HUGE tires from justin who runs "farmers autocare"

a total bmw nut, though even he admits the 996 c4s is a weapon!!
and i have not had any fouling as yet on the c4s, the bigger wheels and tires improve the car a lot!
