This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I love the car EXCEPT for the CDR - 30. End rant. I have read the manual, at one point I had the radio holding my settings and when I turned it on, it landed on a station now it is back to coming on full blast white noise which hurts my ears every time I power up the radio, did I mention that I hate this radio? Can anybody give me some simple cues as to how to hold my sound settings and radio settings many thanks in advance. Just an update to my own thread, you can disregard or end thread, the radio held all my settings when I went back and turned the position on the ignition to on. I still don’t understand why it would lose that information over a week without any break in power from the battery. I’m leaving in a couple of days hopefully it’ll be working right when I go.

POST 2Original post

Something about your problem sounds familiar but it might be from 15 yrs ago. I'm happy that I can remember my name🤔. Since the CDR30 memory seems volatile, and the only power input in its harness is constant +12V, I wonder if you are getting a severe voltage drop when starting the car. You mention this happening after not starting for a week, so that might also indicate that the battery is not holding its charge. Is the battery on a maintainer?

POST 3Original post

The battery is straight, it’s more likely I didn’t get it to “ save” the settings. I’m still not sure I’m straight on many if any of the programming functions even with the book on my lap in the car. I still think that retrieval of the stations is cumbersome, I’m not a fan of this radio whatsoever. I don’t find it intuitive, it does sound more than fine though for this old guy and I’ll be playing discs the most. I don’t use the radio at all around town that’s why I’m not familiar with it, I’d rather listen to the car.
