I'm using O2 sim card, but have been told PCM2 will accept all SIMs.

Back in july I had a problem with PCM 2 fitted to 2003 C4S. The SIM card tray was faulty and would not read any SIM card entered. Took me weeks trying to resolve the problem from asking help on this forum to contacting numerous audio specialists. Porsche initialy told me I needed new PCM 2 at a cost of £1100+VAT -great I'll have 2 !!! Anyway after much research I discovered that some 2003 and earlier models had e second SIM holder. This is actually located under the drivers seat in a black box. Press in the white plastic grommet and out pops the SIM holder. The only negative point is that the seat needs to come out to access the black box. I use a pay as you go SIM card, which is fitted permanently and have my calls redirected. Hope this helps any of you out there who have similiar problem.

Wow! I never knew about a second SIM card holder. Thanks for the tip! I will check under my seat tonight if it has one or not as I have the same problem as you. Mind you, I was told by another owner that the card tray only reads Vodafone SIMs - I am sure someone will shout on here if I have been mis-informed.

I have never ever read of what you are refering to anywhere, and i have all the 911 books,
when the C4s was new, you could specify PC2 with or without the phone kit, but it still came with the sim card slot on the unit,
are you sure what you have been told is correct.
All you need to do, is look under your bonnet read the option codes, and it will tell you whether your pcm2 has the optional phone kit

I ve had a couple of sim drawers where the springs had gone
OPC quote £2500 for a complete unit
cost me less than £75, most OPC's dont know they exist!!!!!!!
2nd SIM slot
Can you describe the unit under the seat. I too have problems with the sim slot on the PCM head unit and was wondering where exactly the second sim slot is on the device under the drivers seat. Any pics would be a great help. Cheers Shap
I've looked under my seat and there is no unit there (unless its really flat). The only workings are the attachment of the seat to the guide rails - nothing else
