Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all hope someone can help. The reversing lights on my 996tt have failed. The car is going for MOT at end of week so want to sort this asap. So far I have changed the bulbs, checked the fuse but no joy. Can some one confirm that the correct fuse is b 5 (7.5amp). The car is a my2001. Also a tip if this makes a difference. Cheers

I'd like to know too... Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't :?: :?: :?:

POST 3Original post

Had the same problem on my 3.2!......turned out to be broken wiring at the reversing light switch on the gearbox....a common problem, certainly on the older models apparently! Don't know much about the newer models but would suggest it is a similar problem or the switch itself has failed. Either way a cheap and easy fix!! HTH
