Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I'd like to replace the speaker covers in my 996 as the bose badges seem to have been removed at some point leaving marks where they used to be. Are OPCs the only places to get these? I've tried design 911 and porscheshop.co.uk but they don't have them (unless I missed them?). Cheers, Gavin

POST 2Original post

You can buy the Bose logos for the door speakers separately. If I am reading the PET correctly, the part number is 996.645.511.00 (£4.15 + VAT each) and the clip to hold it on the back is 996.645.512.00 (70p +VAT each). The PET shows that they are available in different colours, although it doesn't say what those colours are. It would ceratinly be cheaper than buying the grilles, as these are £11.13 each (in black plastic), and don't appear to come with the logos anyway.

Thanks Richard, exactly what I was after. I'll get in touch with Guildford OPC and order them. Cheers, Gavin

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello again, I've got the badges/clips from Porsche now. I had a quick look at the speakers but don't see an easy way to remove the covers, I assume the whole door card needs to be removed? Is removing these something a novice like me can do? Or should I leave it to the professionals? Any help appreciated. Cheers, Gavin
