I mistakenly purchased a drink from the Wimpy at the services on the M6 toll last Sunday and after my 500 mile drive left it in the cup holder.........and came out the next morning to find the cup somewhat disintegrating and a stream of sticky Fanta down the A/C console......all wiped off and thought nothing more of it until yesterday when I needed to use the A/C only to find buttons sticky and hard to press in/out (I can only assume the Fanta is inside the buttons

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, so now back from my British Isles trip and have two problems (see another thread for the other ) I mistakenly purchased a drink from the Wimpy at the services on the M6 toll last Sunday and after my 500 mile drive left it in the cup holder.........and came out the next morning to find the cup somewhat disintegrating and a stream of sticky Fanta down the A/C console......all wiped off and thought nothing more of it until yesterday when I needed to use the A/C only to find buttons sticky and hard to press in/out (I can only assume the Fanta is inside the buttons ) Everything is working just sticky and not nice and crsip presses in and out like before Any ideas how to clean the inside of the buttons so they work properly again? Oh, and please remember this is me without absolutely no technical knowledge or DIY skills
