Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Replace arms (hinges)' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace arms (hinges)' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. Suggestion
Not used it yet but told by Paragon that unlikely to be much use for my current pressing concern I have which is about the gearbox/torque convertor.

Suggestion
they deal in used parts (and new ones) and may have a couple of serviceable used ones cheaper??
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thought it might be interesting to do a survey to get a handle on whether its worth it overall getting a warranty;
Please reply with;
1. Cost of warranty
2. Cost of repairs incurred that have been covered by wty
3. Cost of repairs not covered
In may last two years:
Costs: £725 and £895 Warranty
Have had: High tone horn, £150, RMS £1100, Rear Spoiler Arm £200, MAF £350.
No repairs required not covered.
I wouldn't be without one personally, but mostly for the engine.
Cost of warranty in year 1 £725
Items covered:
High Tone Horn
Heated seat element £533
Cab roof not going down with key
Some weirdo electical thing
Not sure of the costs involved on some of them but know I have saved cash
Items not covere: NONE
Just renewed for £895, nothing wrong yet
ETA: just like Chris, I would not be without mine. Bought it in case the engine decided to blow itself up (or something similar) but it has been very handy for the other things that have failed
Car bought with warranty for 14 months
1 renewal & £725
Items fixed to date :
High tone horn
1 coil pack
Costs to date negligable for these 2 items.
Peace of mind for a £40k engine going pop....priceless.
had warranty for 10mths - cost £725
covered:
MAF £180??
RMS (although it wasnt really gone, I just wanted a new clutch, so I twisted some arms, convinced them my RMS was leaking and only paid the cost of parts for the clutch)
not covered:
front window regulator £210 x2 (the LHS one blew on saturday  )
drivers door lock mechanism £300
I am very disappointed with it, because (somewhat naively?) I thought it was a good quality mechanical warranty from a brand that cared about its customers. If I had bought it knowing that its only really there for RMS and engines blowing up, and not really for other stuff, then I would feel less agrieved. But then again the work done under warranty this year has cost more than the warranty itself, so there is a moral there somewhere... I will renew it again, but under no illusions that it offers fullproof cover.
1. 2*725
2. Not sure of exact costs, but i have had new radiators, new coil pack, new oil pressure sensor. Am awaiting parts for a new Oil Breather system at which time they will fix RMS and i will get the clutch done.
3. Wheel Bearing
1.
2 * 725
2.
New Siren
New front air conditioning condensor
3 new radiators
New engine oil cooler
New tiptronic oil cooler
New water pump
Power steering return hose replaced
4, 5, 6 spark plug tube seals replaced
RMS
Bank 1 VarioCam actuator replaced
3.
Nothing significant
Not sure the cost of all this lot, but probably quite significant.
Impressive thing was that I was completely unaware of any problems other than the Variocam issue. The rest was picked up in my "end of warranty" check.
Had RMS done, Cam cover leaks done, new vario cam seals, susp arm bush all covered. Cost would have been 1500+ at OPC. And it gives peace of mind if any big does let go. Just renewed mine.
Hi,
1. £725
2. One driver's side radiator. £600
Sump leak £100
3. Nil
Other rad is looking on its way out.
Went for it again this year and definately feel it is a must purchase.
Alan
what happened to the spoiler arm? my spoiler doesnt fully retract on one side until I push it down by hand......any ideas?
My warranty has expired
costs so far £500 radiators and condensers
£200 MAF
Mine was doing exactly that - not retracting fully opn one side. Both the arms (hinges) were replaced. They are about £60 each and was one hours labour.
My warranty £600. Not used it yet but told by Paragon that unlikely to be much use for my current pressing concern I have which is about the gearbox/torque convertor. They tell me that it won't pay out unless they strip it and find the failure, will only pay for the failed part rather than the whole thing, and won't pay for the strip down. It's made me a little nervous.
