Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

having a look at the wiring diagram, i suspected the climatronic unit, DVB just supplied a replacement (correct PN - Correct software version) no change.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All. new on here, i have a 2002 C4 earlier this week i took a drive to the office, heating fan worked fine, left the office and the heater fan wasnt working, also the rear demist and the heated seats are intert. no illumination on the lights. having a look at the wiring diagram, i suspected the climatronic unit, DVB just supplied a replacement (correct PN - Correct software version) no change. I've pulled the pollen filter and flicked the fan around, obviously checked the fuses anyone have any idea ??

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Indeed not. Also the heater fan, heated seats and rear demist are on 3 separate fuses on different banks

POST 4Original post

The fan is controlled by one of the the big blue relays in the relay panel. You can easily remove it and swap it for one of the adjacent identical relays - for instance that control the radiator fans, to see if that solves that problem.

Actually the relays are the '53' ones not the blue one. Sorry my mistake....

Thanks. I got a replacement relay yesterday. Not had a chance to trouble shoot more. Also have a replacement fan resistor pack on the way. I'll post up my findings. Unusual that all 3 went together sonits something that interconnects the 3
