Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Going to go see and drive a Raby built 3.8 in a 987.1 cayman S today. The car is pretty well cared for and on cayman R suspension with a bunch of other bits to include paddle comversion. The problem is my 3.4 986 on paper looks equivalent. I’m really hesitant to make the jump but do think the 987 will get more use since it’s a tip and my wife can drive it at events and as needed. If I get the 987 my gt3 arms, tarret sways, and UIDS will likely make the move over to that car. Any insight? Yes I know this is a 986 forum, just looking for thoughts. Thanks Shawn ***update*** car is no longer for sale, moving on with life maybe I’ll get a 4 door non P Car for me and my wife to enjoy. I was kind of stressed about the decision anyway and the current 986 market does not look very favorable despite the condition of my car.
