This is not a probability of success.

The shocks and sway bar are open in my class, so if this is the case, I would be able to use the PASM springs and still be legal for my class.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hello, I own a no-option 2.7 Cayman and planning to prep it for SCCA Solo II and Pro Solo competition. I've been doing a little research on what it would take to convert my car to a PASM-optioned car and a Sport-Chrono car. The reason I'm researching is not that I want the entire option (or I would have puchased to begin with), but to see if it makes sense to add the components of the options given the classing in SCCA solo competition. (1) Of what I found so far is the PASM car has different shocks, springs and front sway bar. The shocks and sway bar are open in my class, so if this is the case, I would be able to use the PASM springs and still be legal for my class. Are there other mods for the PASM equipped cars (ECU, etc) that I would need to add to be compliant? Again, just researching. (2) Is the Sports-Chrono package sold on non-PASM cars? If so, what components are needed for a full package to exist? Thanks in advance for any input as I continue to research (PM me if you'd like to take off line).

POST 2Original post

You can' add PASM to a non-PASM car because the wiring harness pieces aren't there, unless of course you spend $10K+ to put in a new wiring harness too. As for S/C it is the same thing, but you can get the S/C functionality with the Snap-Flash, you just can't get all the wiring/switches for it, again without spending a bunch of $$$
