Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've only seen one article about motor mount replacement that wasn't 3-4 yrs old(I probably haven't looked in right place but here is my job...hope it helps others. 1. Laid all tools out...2 new mounts from Carid...$160/2 small ship fee 2. Jack up car by crossmember and place on stands...support motor. It's picture is best place...2nd pic is wrong place to support 3. Fab speed CAI makes access to air pump for swinging out of the way easy. Normally removing pump first is correct but FS uses one of mount bolts for their bracket. You need these bolts tight to remove 18mm nut underneath so do this second. Start with replacement of passenger side. 4. Remove old mount and replace with new robust unit...notice worn position of old mount. Do driver side. You will notice that with motor supported exhaust tips are butted up against opening. This will readjust once motor is let down. Chec mounts by REIN same OEM specs as P-box. 5. Torque upper bolts to 25ft-lbs and lower bolt to 63ft-lbs. you can check position of mount into square hole from underneath. Everything lined up nice and symmetrical. 6. Drove totally tight...passenger seat shaking reduced 95%(the ROWM030 setup I guess)here are the pics

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I don't know how to put more than one picture in...sorry. Drives so nice...motor not sloshing around...further away from DFI S car (I keep looking at)again with the FabS CAI just move intake tube to side and remove carbon fiber heatshield

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Start on passenger then go to driver Relocation bracket shares 10mm bolt with motor mount

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
