Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hey guys, so I Installed a pair of the clear front side marker lights, then I added the light smoke tint. Love this look, but have a small problem I need help with. My Porsche computer is telling me to check the left/right marker lights, I understand why. So the question is, does anyone know some good resistors I could add to address this ? I found this one on ebay, plug and play, but the seller is not 100% sure it will address the dash message. I also attached a couple of pics so you can see the lights with them on and off. Pardon Our Interruption... thanks for any help provided -d

POST 2Original post

Come on guys, no one out there has had this issue before?????? thanks

POST 3Original post

I've changed the lights before but with Porsche stuff so never a problem. You wired these or it's just aftermarket noncompatible parts ?

POST 4Original post

@Augie these are after market led lights, the actual led lights are attached to the clear lens. There is no special wiring, it plugs right into the existing wire. The problem is, when the computer runs a check, it thinks the led lights are out due the low voltage, the old lights are much higher in voltage, hence the need for a resistor. I just don't know what kind I need. By the way I checked my local Porsche Dealer and they don't have any OEM LED lights for my car. thanks

POST 6Original post

Did you ever figure this out? I think it is a resistor in parallel, not in series, but I don't know the value.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
