Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the standard CD23 unit in my car and have noticed that the base and treble settimgs keep reverting to 0. without me doing this manually. This happens with either the CD or FM settings and usually after the car has been stopped i.e engine switched off. I need to investigate further as I'm not sure if its doing this every time but on the few occasions when I prefer to listen to music rather than the PSE its a bit of a pain. Anybody got any similar experiences?

POST 2Original post

It seems like this is a common problem. Mine does it to. Generally only when i drive a very short distance. Its not a warrnaty item either. However i was advised that there is a possible solution to this by programming the user menus. I think there are two. Ive not tried it yet but it explains how you can set up user profiles in the CDR23 manual [&:]

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks Steve, It was after I programmed the user menus I realised it had reset to the default settings, I'll study the manual again to make sure I've locked the settings in.

POST 4Original post

and...................?????????????? Did it work ??????????

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Steve, since I reset it last its been ok, long journey down to Ragley and back at the weekend. I haven't done anything different to what I did before so looks like its a random problem. Discovered another issue though, pressed the on/off button to switch off, the display went blank but the sound continued. seems its developed a mind of its own.

POST 6Original post

Do you mean that it took a few seconds for the sound to die away?. That's how mine works (it also loses its settings occasionally for no apparent reason).

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes probably about 10 seconds, its never done that before though
