Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I'm trying to figure out how to add a Bluetooth input to my Boxster . Seems all the CDR24 manual link I found in this forums are expired. Does anyone have a pdf version? BTW: I have a BOSE system , so it's optical wired to the Amp. Can anyone have the experience on adding an aux or BT input give me some hints? Thank you

POST 2Original post

Going to the new web design / server has killed a bunch of old information. I've complained but I suspect it is long gone. I think you have two options - get something pricey from Dension or just add an external FM modulator. - there are numerous threads on both. I chose a 3rd option - wired up a TranzitBlu unit behind the CDR-24; it is like an FM modulator except that it intercepts the antenna path so you don't have to worry about finding a free FM freq like with a modulator. It works OK, although a little quirky. Of course the other option is to replace the CDR-24 with an aftermarket unit, although since you have Bose there are some complications involved - many threads on doing that.

POST 4Original post

PM me with your email address and I'll send you a pdf of the CDR-24 manual. FWIW, I also went with the Tranzit Blue unit, it was reasonably priced and works well.

POST 5Original post

Yeah, TranzitBlu works OK. The issues I've had are when I haven't used it in a while - sometimes not in several months - and I think the button gets intermittent so doesn't make contact for the requisite 4 sec to make the switch. Troubleshooting involves a look at the status LEDs, which means pulling the right side console cover off - then I can see what's going on and get it working again. Probably if I used it every day it would be fine.

POST 6Original post

If you want to retain the cdr24 and stock appearance, your best bet is a Denison 500bt

POST 7Original post
