I don’t believe my car has the CD Changer (place above the DVD unit in the frunk is empty) BUT I can change from playing the CD in the dash to a display that would indicate its looking at a changer (CD1 with a smaller 2 3 4 5 6 on screen) and a message that says “

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

So my new to me 06 Boxster S has the BOSE PCM2.0/1 Nav unit (whats the difference?) When delving under the dash dealing with the security system swap I noticed it had an old(ish) Motorola Bluetooth unit complete with microphone on the header rail, unfortunately this is just for voice. It also has an Aux cable from behind the center console which is plugged into a pair of RCA cables. A quick google on the weekend and it seems the typical way this was usually performed was to connect to the CD Changer input. I don’t believe my car has the CD Changer (place above the DVD unit in the frunk is empty) BUT I can change from playing the CD in the dash to a display that would indicate its looking at a changer (CD1 with a smaller 2 3 4 5 6 on screen) and a message that says “ Ipod not connected” or similar. I’ve then plugged in an older phone I have that still has a headphone jack and ..... get no sound. Any tips besides “wait ever so patiently for Porsche to release the Android Auto classic head unit upgrade for PCM2.0” next year? (and quietly enquire about black market buyers for one of my kidneys..) Cheers, Julian
