Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I,ve been toying with the idea of getting a Bike Roofrack for the 996, anyone tried this, any horror stories, and lastly any ideas where to buy a nice looking one ??

POST 2Original post

Me too! I do get a little worried that I might forget I have a bike on the roof, plus I'm a little concerned on the 'views' of other road users on seeing such a strange sight

POST 5Original post

I saw a guy last year with a 996 with a Thule on his roof in the New Forest with a Mt Bike. Also saw one out in Bracknell Forest as well. So they work well it would seem.

POST 6Original post

The Porsche Roof Transport System (plus bike carrier) will fit any 911 (including GT3s and GT2s!)

POST 8Original post

Wonder if they'll fit Targas? Mind, this was one of the reasons why I bought a hatchback 911 in the first place anyway! ~ Maxie 8)

POST 9Original post

Errr... sorry, forgot about the cabs! But they do have an RTS for the Boxster, so I'd be surprised if they don't have one for he Cab!

POST 10Original post

"forgot about the cabs"... i'm off to cry in the corner. because i live in SW london, there are 4 911's on my road of 40 houses. One of the guys has a cab and has these funny little things on the side pillar of the windscreen that look like they take a roof rack system-type-thing-device. might collar him and ask him where he got it. he never uses it.

POST 11Original post

 do a quick google for porsche roof transport system and you'll see loads of pics...

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When you google "porsche roof transport system", it comes up with loads of links, but the majority of them are for Cayennes. I have tried Thule, but again they only do Cayennes unfortunately !
