Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

When I took delivery of the car, my outlets did not work and I quickly found out that the fuse was blown.
iv noticed that my car sockets dont seem to be working. i tried charging my phone through both outlets and neither seemed to work. i am going to service it soon and i was wondering what could have caused this problem. is there anything i should have them look at? (clutch seems to be fine...for now)cars got under 3k miles
The socket in the passenger foot-well should work without the ignition being on. You might check your fuses, maybe one of them is bad... if not, a trip to the dealer sounds like it might be in order - that's what the warranty is for...

I have to ask, have you checked the fuses? On my way to Portland Stefan had his laptop, cell phone, gps, hair dryer and microwave oven all plugged into my lighter socket and it blew the fuse, which there was an extra of in the fuse box area so I replaced it and told him to keep it down to less that a kajillion watts...
This is a change.
If you open the cover for the fusebox (next to the clutch pedal), there's a little foldout pamphlet. This is the fuse box legend.
The 7.5A fuse for the armrest socket blew when installing my Sirius radio. I replaced it but ended up using the footwell socket. I can't remember if both sockets use the same fuse.
now that i think about it more and more. i should have posted this in the eletrical fourm. and it must be a fuse. and that fuse has to controll both outlets. i read the manual online and it didnt give me any more info than i already know. when i pick up my car from the body shop, i will check the fuse box, de-snokle
[im excited to hear the diffrence] and keep you guys updated.
thanks for the help
Both 12V outlets should be 'hot' all the time - meaning that they will work regardless of whether the key is in the ignition or not.
When I took delivery of the car, my outlets did not work and I quickly found out that the fuse was blown. It was an easy task to replace the fuse (the fuse box has spare fuses in some of the sockets).
i opened up the fuse box last night and its all in german, im pretty sure i know which fuse it is bc it says something in german then 12v
but the fuse isnt blown :/ i dont wanna service it grrrrr
I'll bet if you took it into the dealer, they'd have someone, or even the service writer might, come out and quickly put a new fuse in the right spot - it's worth a try if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.

i may not be good with mechanical problems but i know how to change a fuse, the paper in the box is one long sheet and is doube sided, unlike my boxter which folded out to a poster bord size paper
The paper may be one long sheet, but that doesn't negate the fact that the fuse layout is printed in MULTIPLE languages on that sheet. You missed the English section, just admit it. I don't see how it being a long sheet has anything to do with it.
maybe i was that dumb, lol i will check again. and if it isnt i will take a pic.
if it is my IQ should be lowered to the point that i owe you(interpol) points!
