Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This relates to my 2006 Cayman. I was driving around with a friend and his cell phone slid from the passenger floor to underneath the seat. Under the seat, there is a patch that is just metal and the phone went there, then slid into a welded structural brace, and around the door sill. I had to remove the seat and use coat hangers to retrive the phone. Shouldn't there be some carpet or something that prevents this from happening. The car is new to me and has not been modified in any way and only has 23k miles on it. See some pics below:
