OPCs can't retrofit OE ones, so aftermarket's your only route- if the above lot are recommended by OPC Guildford, that sounds like a good option.

Hi All, My C4 didnt come with the parkatronic option and thinking it was be a "nice" add-on to start with on the 996. I wanted to find out if a particular brand/type is recommended. Ive seen loads on ebay but a bit wary of "testing". Can someone provide some pointers here or if the OPC part can be sourced and/or if is recommended here? Also, anyone tried this and can provider ideas on how to fit this in and if there is any specific "no no's" that i should be aware about. Thanks!

I believe Ian Bannings in Guildford retrofit reverse parking sensors on behalf of Guildford OPC. I know someone who's had this done and they look stock. They do a very good job, very reliable. No idea about price though....I'd imagine it's not far off the option price.

Hi, It is an aftermarket option that they fit. All I meant was that OPC used them to fit the aftermarket option on their behalf, so they are good. They also use them to add things like Trackers etc. Not sure how much the Parktronic option was on the 996, but the 997 is only £350, which IIRC is cheaper than the option was on the 996.

A quick update for FYI- Spoke to the chap, prices for 996 is as follows: £279+vat (about £330) Time: 4 hours Will probs need to keep the car for morning/afternoon etc if anyone else is interested. Will ponder over it on my drive home
