Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This is a six-speed manual AWD transmission from a 2005 Porsche 996 C4S with 42,000 miles. This transmission includes a Porsche Cup limited slip differential, which is ideal for track use but may be a bit too noisy for a daily driver. This transmission will also fit in a 996 Porsche (1999-2004) RWD model or a 997.1 RWD model (2005-2008). (The shifter cable must be routed to the opposite side of the box on the 997.1, and the front-wheel drive shaft is not connected.) Fully operational. Runs great. This is a rare German-built transmission from one of just 4,012 996 C4S cars built in 2005, the last year of production for this particular model. The 997 model was released the same year and had the Japanese-built Aisin transmission. https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...l#post12854538
