This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suspected cause

its probably a sensor in the abs system, but as well as wheel sensors theres sensors on the steering column etc

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

Happened on mine - new brake pedal switch and new MAF fixed it.

No unique explicit quoted action; no causal link assigned

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone any ideas. Under heavy acceleration and high revs (say above 5000) and normally 3rd gear upwards the PSM and ABS lights come on on my C4. They stay on until the ignition is cycled. During this time the ABS and PSM do not appear to work. Seems weird as this is on acceleration rather than braking. Any ideas. I heard that this may be something to do with the air flow meter/module, does that make any sense? Huw

POST 2Original post

Could be a faulty ABS sensor, had a similar problem on BMW 535 a number of years ago. Simon

POST 4Original post

the psm and abs systems are linked its probably a sensor in the abs system, but as well as wheel sensors theres sensors on the steering column etc

POST 5Original post

Happened on mine - new brake pedal switch and new MAF fixed it. MAF was fitted first but didn't solve it, so don't know whether you will need both - might be worth trying the pedal switch first! :?:
