Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I found a PCM nav. Head unit and wonder if it is possible to exchange out the Bose unit and install the PCM unit without serious mods. What do you know?

POST 2Original post

I suggest you take the cdr24 out yourself and plug in the PCM because it's a very easy process, only two plugs! And then your dealer will have to recode the car with Piwis to use the new headunit, until then you will probably get an error code. Unless the PCM came out of a Bose car, then it might just work. This whole process has been discussed a lot here, and I believe Ken is working on a retrofit article for the whole navigation system. - SS

POST 3Original post

Hey, where were you able to find a PCM nav? I've been stalking ebay for the past few weeks and found nothing but the older PCM 2.0 units.

POST 4Original post

Ebay Item number: 220072633659 You tell me if it is the older unit or newer.

POST 6Original post

Hey. I got one on Ebay and paid $800 for it and seeing as that one doesn't accept refunds or returns it has about as much of a garentee as my one so it seems a bit pricey Still haven't installed it, waiting for the article from K-man to see if I will attempt it. G.
